Approach
Executive Search
For us, the executive search starts with understanding the strategy, the structure and the culture of the organization. The focus would be on finding the best fit between the organization and the candidate. Both quantitative and qualitative methodologies will be employed to generate a clear picture as to how well an individual will fit in with the prevailing culture of the organization.
Client Profiling
As a first step in our process, we would have an interaction with the client to develop a detailed profile of the client. We make every effort to understand the business our client is engaged in. Our team would speak the language of the client, understand the client well and then present the client, with confidence, to prospective candidates.
Market Mapping
Once a hiring need is identified, we perform a thorough market mapping exercise to identify sectors likely to produce those best qualified for the role. Using our finely honed research skills, we develop a comprehensive list of companies/sectors which are most likely to have prospective candidates.
Role Profiling
We do an analysis of the job description, tasks and responsibilities that come under each role to make a role profile. Then, we identify the key competencies needed for the role and the behavioural indicators. These are reviewed periodically to make sure they accurately reflect the most important outcomes or contributions needed for the position. The role profile would be shared with the shortlisted candidates at the beginning of our interactions.
Candidate Briefing
Our candidate briefing session design has been widely appreciated by candidates we have interacted with and our clients as well. It is designed to allow the candidate to gain a thorough understanding of the client and the key requirements involved. We give the prospective candidate a clear picture on the business of the client, how his or her role fits into the business and the key differentiators for success. During this phase, we would also share the role profile and facilitate a discussion on the role and the client business.
Candidate Role Assessment
Before we send profiles to our client, we measure the performance factors for each job candidate by doing a role assessment. The role assessment is a result of our multiple interactions with the candidate before the client meets them for the direct interview. Abanel tries to make an overall assessment of prospective candidates and provides clients with an insight into their key skills and what motivates them. Thus our clients get to meet a candidate that they are most likely to hire and retain. Also, throughout these interactions, our team will look for a fit between the values, beliefs and business philosophy of the organization and those of the candidate.
Closing the Position
As Abanel reaches the conclusion of an assignment, our consultants will be on hand to assist in conveying the offer and talk to the candidate on behalf of our client. We work closely with the candidate to manage his or her concerns. Abanel stays close to both the candidate and our client to ensure that the critical stages of selection, offer and onboarding proceeds smoothly.
